AGAINST RIVALRY

I DETEST,LOATH, AND HATE THIS RIVALRY.I AM SICK AND TIRED OF ONE TEAM BENG BRAGGED ABOUT,AND ONE TEAM BEING CRITIZED.IF OUR TAX DOLLARS ARE BEIN SPRNT ON THIS RIVALRY,I AM SURE THAT THE MEDIA WOULD LOOK INTO IT IN A HEARTBEAT.I ALSO THINK IT IS A STUPID,DUMB WASTE OF TIME.ANYWAY,IT ALSO IRRITATES ME THAT DENNY CRUM AND FORMER GOVERNER JOHN Y. BROWN POPPED THEIR MOUTS OFF ABOUT BOTH TEAMS PLAYING AGAINST EACH OTHER.I WANT THIS RIVALRY ABOLISHED REALLY BAD.I AM ALSO SICK AND TIRED OF HOW EVERYONE ACTS ABOUT IT,EVEN THOUGH EVERYBODY SAYS IT IS A FUN,FRIENDLY GAME.

Comment by CardStrong on May 11, 2012 at 4:24pm: From an outsiders point of view, I can see how this rivalry can look a little crazy. People around here literally live and die UofL or UK athletics. Louisville is a huge college sports town, always has been and always will be.

My advice?

Pick a few games through out the season- football or basketball, and watch them with a knowledgeable fan. Decide for yourself if you are into it or not, don't let a handful of crazies decide that for you. If you decide you enjoy it, hop on the train and have fun! If not, oh well.
