Permalink Reply by larrywb59 on December 4, 2012 at 9:22pm WOW UL fans are already writing Charlie off , personally I don't think UT is really interested just planning on him as a backup plan, not a bad plan, I think Charlie has done a great job at UL. I hope he sticks around because I look forward to him and Mark having some great games. Good luck keeping Coach Strong guy.
GO KATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Permalink Reply by Tom Johnson on December 4, 2012 at 9:35pm Hey Cholly Welcome to the SEC as you shit on the Lil Brother fans...headed for the bridges..This is funnier than SEXtino's 15 second line..Stop it..Cholly your killing me ..See ya later..
Permalink Reply by Tom Johnson on December 4, 2012 at 9:37pm Skip the Sugar Bowl Tweedledum...The Gaytors will use the Birds for toilet paper..CS could have named ANY of the other 120 schools, but instead he chose to pick up the stupid "Big Brother" is better that you refrain.THAT one statement alone almost got my wife to lobby to take the $4,000 bucks we are laying out to attend the Sugar Bowl and opt for a tropical destination for the holidays.
In two days15000 UL fans have bought $250 tickets, airline fares, hotel rooms..ect..,at great personal expense.
For CS to come out and say something that insulting at this time in UL football history is unforgiveable in my opinion. He has to know the rabid animosity between the two fanbases. He has to know the State passes out money like sugar candy to UK while UL begs, borrows and steals to get a dime of our own tax money back from Frankfort to benefit anything UL.He has to know UL draws fans from ONE county while UK has the undying support of the entire other 119 counties in this state.
Louisville is a city of 750,00 people in a state with 4 milloin people.
Dang! Do the math Charlie! Ever see a half empty YUM! crowd during a UL game??? Know why?? 50 plus years of the growth of UL basketball has created generations of rabid fans willing to fork over a small fortune for basketball tickets and are devoted to their team.
UL does not have that with football. It's Howard to Charlie...that's it.UL is just know building a football history.
I for one hope the door smacks him the butt on the way out. He simply is not worth the reported $4Million a year salary UT is offering. I do thank him for his efforts here and the fact he helped deliver UL to the ACC.
IMHO IF he jumps to UT he will find himself looking for another job in 2-3 years. UT fires 10-2 coaches all day long. Just ask Phil Fulmer...one loss to Florida and they will throw him overboard ASAP.
Heck, almost all my UT contacts are NOT thrilled to see his name come up as a candidate. They feel as I do a 10-2 season in a weak conference does not make one an upper level SEC coach.

Permalink Reply by larrywb59 on December 5, 2012 at 5:08pm Congrata on keeping Coach Strong, I look forward to seeing how they do in the ACC and the UK UL series should be much better because of the correct decision by Coach Strong, next time UL fans should not be so quick to give up on your coach, when link to coaching rumors, after all his name is not Petrino or Smith. Again congrats on keeping your coach.
GO KATS!!!!!!!

Why is it, that UofL has the best facilities in the State?

UL certainly has the cash and the best facilities in the state (hands down). If TJ decides it's best to keep Coach Strong....he will.....if not he'll hire another coach just as good or better.
The beat will go on....and the asswhoopins' will continue......one way or another.

Well, that and UK doesn't care about any sports that aren't basketball.

Could be because Louisville pays all the TAXES in the state????

Wrong, try again.
Well, by all means, enlighten the rest of the class as to which UK sports besides basketball get lots of attention from the athletic department.
