Sorry to tell you this Yankee but he was begging UK to hire hime but he was never a candidate for UK. I would not have objected if UK had hired him, I do believe he is a great coach, just a crappy person, as reflected in the way he treated UL AND ARKANSAS

Right - UofL got hoodwinked. They have an outstanding coach who just turned down the Volunqueer job, to stay at Louisville and lead the program into the sugar bowl this year, and the ACC in 2014. Strong stayed out of loyalty to the AD and the program, with the knowledge that he and his assistants would continue to be supported not only financially but, every other way as well. That's what winners do for each other.
Not surprising that you can't grasp this Grover, as you have always been a fat loser. The only hoodwinked person within earshot, is your poor wife. She didn't get a prize, she only got the rear end...

no UL has a great coach Bobby just wanted any job he could get, and WKU decided to take the chance on a coach no one else was willing to take the risk of being burnt like UL and Arkansas. I applaud WKU for taking that risk. But UK HAS PUT TOGETHER A GREAT STAFF, I wish UL and WKU luck, but I will spend my free time watching my KATS

I think like most things, the truth lies in the middle. There was an interview with BP sr. with the CJ, where he said that BP would love to be hired by uk. That's a long way from begging Larry. It woud be interesting to know if there was any contact between he and uk.
He'll do a great job at WKU - the guy is an offensive genius - I just hope for WKU's sake, he's less offensive off of the field...

no one said anything like that please use your brain for something other then a hat rack, I know it's difficult for you, I do wish UL luck in the Belk Bowl, oops I mean Sugar Bowl, I recieved that robo call from Coach Strong about UL GOING TO THE BELK BOWL. Then I loked at the BCS listings and realized it was a mistake by the UL athletic dept admin. But good luck at the Sugar Bowl anyway

Granted uk has set the bar low but, with the addition on Brown, Stoops actually has what looks to be a pretty impressive staff. Who knows how it will turn out - they still need an infusion of talent to really compete week in and week out in the sec - but these guys have had legit success at big time schools.
