COULD WE ALL AGREE ON THIS?

I do not care if you are Red, Blue or whatever fan, I do hope that we can all agree that we need to send out prayers and/or positive thoughts for the families of the unthinkable act that happened at the CT school today. Sports seems so trival to me as I mourn another mass murder; little Kindergarten babies, their life cut short and adults that died with them. My prayers go out to all of the families as they try to cope with this tragedy. If you have children, be sure to give them a bigger than usual hug; today, we could all use a hug.

Once again your intellect and reading comprehension come to the fore. I said that I "worked for someone else my first five years of my professional life". At that point I started my own business and have worked for myself ever since. I'm sure that you couldn't imagine a business owner being a democrat, mainly because you can't imagine being a business owner at all and, you're bound by the stereotypes that are the product of a small intellect. Based upon that same line of thinking, (if anything you say is true) ex-vet, pensioner, works two jobs - so called "drain on the economy" and "part of the permanent 47% mooching underclass" - sounds like you'd lean democratic.

"what kind of business owner is on rednblue fans" - one successful enough to be able to do what he wants, because he's worked his ass off to build his business to the point where he doesn't have to be there every second. Whether its playing golf with either clients or friends, or coaching my son's AAU travel baseball team, taking my daughter to her riding lessons, or having lunch with my wife; I worked hard early specifically so I could be in the position to be around my kids as much as possible while they're growing up. Ten years from now, when they're in college - and you're in the ground - I can go back and work hard again and build the business even more but, I'll never be able to replace this time in their lives.

I get that you can't understand that. Your whole life - whether in the army or working "two jobs", you've had someone that told you what to do and when to do it. You're a worker bee - no shame in that at all but, also understandable that you couldn't grasp anything else.

I didn't respond to it as it is meaningless to me, given that I'm not in the military. If it makes you feel better, I'll stipulate that one can't be dishonorably discharged and still draw a pension. You keep working harder, and I'll keep working smarter.

Why yes, I am going to New Orleans for the game - heading down with some buddies on the 30th - staying at the JW on Canal St. Would have been fun to be in the team hotel but, they wouldn't take points for the rooms there. Not that big a deal though as we're right next to it.

I'm sure you'd like me to post my room number as verification...LOL
