I do not care if you are Red, Blue or whatever fan, I do hope that we can all agree that we need to send out prayers and/or positive thoughts for the families of the unthinkable act that happened at the CT school today. Sports seems so trival to me as I mourn another mass murder; little Kindergarten babies, their life cut short and adults that died with them. My prayers go out to all of the families as they try to cope with this tragedy. If you have children, be sure to give them a bigger than usual hug; today, we could all use a hug.

I am inclined to agree with your assumptions there Bobby P,

Additionally,

Many of our seniors receive food stamps because their social security and retirement income is meager. Since KK has spent his career in the military, he should be aware that often enlisted men and women depend upon food stamps to make ends meet. Most of all I am glad you mentioned the respect given a president as the Commander in Chief. As one who grew up in a military family and served a short stint in the U.S. ARMY., blatant and public disrespect for the president is not tolerated while serving and not considered honorable behavior at the local VFW.

If one has a military pension, that is adequate to live comfortable style. Working two other jobs is just keeping some young person who needs to take care of him/herself or a family out of a job.

I vowed to dip from the political discussions on the net but I had to check in here. Bobby, you are correct on all points you have made and have supported them with empirical data. Research evidence indicates that conservatives overall have lower I.Q. s. That is why I try not to argue with them.. You can supply them with data until the cows come home but it is lost on them.

Wrong again. I wasn't alive when the troops were coming home from Vietnam. I guess you mean Vietnam, shit as old as you are, you might mean the trenches of Verdun...

I don't have it in for military people - thankful that we have men and women that protect our way of life. If you are ex-military, you sure have a funny way of talking about our commander in chief. Let me guess - dishonorable discharge?

Try as you might, you just can't wriggle off of that republican / mitt Romney hook, at least not mathematically. There are 312 million people living in the US. 4.3 million are on welfare, 47 million receive food stamps and, 5.6 million are on unemployment assistance. Rounding up, that equals 57 million people on assistance, though one could argue the people on unemployment had jobs, so they're not really the "sponges", but I digress. MATH, tells you that this means 18% of Americans are, what you would call "lazy bums".

Clearly, the difference between that 18% and the 47% the republicans referenced, INCLUDED YOU, my mouthy (yet dim) friend. I can understand how that you would make you feel bad to learn that you are held in such disregard by the party you claim affiliation to, perhaps even as bad as you would make those other people that receive public assistance feel - with the way that you describe them. (#IRONYPARTTWO)

"See, I don't think..." - first honest statement you've made. It's not surprising that you wouldn't understand how businesses are run, given that you've no experience in it. There is nothing wrong with working for others - I did it the first five years of my professional life. But until you've made the effort and risked everything, you'll never sit in the big chair. I worked my ass off for the last dozen years, and now I have other people working their asses off, while I'm able to focus on big picture items. I'm sure that's a concept that's over your head as well.

And you're right that I haven't named my business, you haven't posted your social security number either...

It's not welfare I receive and if you have it in for us military people that defend you then might want to go live in Europe pal. Can't you see the difference or are you that ignorant( You don't have to answer that, I already know the answer). You own a buisness? I seriously doubt it. You and Ole chumps are us are two of kind. I don't supervise my front line personnel genius.  I have three lead supervisors that work with those folks and they report to my Operations Manager, who reports to me.  This can't be unfamiliar to you as, I doubt that you get to talk to the owner of the gas station directly, most likely you have to go through someone above you - like a cashier...

I am just the messenger,

I didn't conduct the research. Glad I didn't tell you everything the research evidence found.

Low IQ & Conservative Beliefs Linked to Prejudice

The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults. These findings point to a vicious cycle, according to lead researcher Gordon Hodson, a psychologist at Brock University in Ontario. Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, the study found. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice, Hodson wrote in an email to LiveScience.

"Prejudice is extremely complex and multifaceted, making it critical that any factors contributing to bias are uncovered and understood," he said.

Folks, the last thing that I wanted to do with this discussion was to start a fight over politics, etc. Could we not at least wait until the funerals for the victims of this unthinkable act are finished before we start the flaming? We need to be thinking about the people of Newtown, CT and remembering that something of this nature could happen in our area schools.

You are right Su. I apologize.

My apologies Su - I couldn't resist.

Litta - you should know better than to email and deliver pizzas at the same time.

"Obessed" - is this some sort of Truman fetish?

"Buisness" - makes sense since you don't understand it, that you wouldn't be able to spell it either.

"Pleasen" - Menonnite?

"yoi" - Yiddish?

"Oreleans" - diet cookie?

Gosh, you're dumb.  If you want to be taken seriously (though I think that ship sailed 30 years ago) it might behoove you to learn how to spell even the most basic of words...
