COULD WE ALL AGREE ON THIS?

I do not care if you are Red, Blue or whatever fan, I do hope that we can all agree that we need to send out prayers and/or positive thoughts for the families of the unthinkable act that happened at the CT school today. Sports seems so trival to me as I mourn another mass murder; little Kindergarten babies, their life cut short and adults that died with them. My prayers go out to all of the families as they try to cope with this tragedy. If you have children, be sure to give them a bigger than usual hug; today, we could all use a hug.

I guess using your logic, it could be said that UofL and uk had the same kind of football season. Even though Louisville went 10-2 and is going to the Sugar Bowl and uk went 2-10 and is sitting home, they both tried to win every game, so it's the same - right?

If you don't understand the al-Qaeda question, well I'm not explaining it to you a third time - you'll just have to remain confused. EBT? That's funny - particularly when you're one of the infamous "47%" and I'm a job creator.

If there's a bitter person in this mix, it's you my friend - I'm doing quite nicely. Though I'm sympathtic that time has passed you by, leaving you confused and longing for the "good old days"; trying to have a discussion with you is equal parts insufferable and boring. It's no wonder you don't want anyone to bring up politics, you clearly don't understand them.

I'm not going to explain things to you multiple times - again if you want to understand the al-Queda question, go back and re-read the thread - though I bet you still don't get it because you clearly aren't very bright.

Based upon your posts, you are receiving government assistance, which means according to your side, you are part of the 47% of Americans that are sponging off of the rest of us and are a drag on our economy. That's your side who has made that distinction don't forget. I'm sure that you will come back with some textbook rationalization that you've "earned" what you get - unlike those other undeserving masses suckling at the public teat. If you don't "depend" on it, and as you are clearly against "welfare", I would expect that you send that money back to the government - right?

How funny that you suggest that you don't "respond to my comments" in the middle of one of your responses to my comments (#IRONY).

I started a business 14 years ago, right here in metro Louisville. Started with two employees - including myself. Currently, we have 56 people on staff, so yeah, I am a job creator. Which means - again according to your side - that I am significantly more important than you and, my opinion is valued - whereas yours means diddly.

If you're looking for work, send me your resume. Until then, I'm busy doing my part to keep the economy going and we don't give public tours.

How about we have a National discussion about the pitiful (or non existent) policy we have regarding mental illness, especially as it pertains to today's youth instead?

We can get into a spirited debate over the 2nd amendment, and "Despotic" Governments as described in the Constitution all day if you would like....for every reason you give in support of gun control I can give you an argument against.

Our unofficial militia of public citizens is one of our biggest deterrents to Al-Queda type organizations here on US soil.

At the end of the day, babies were killed.....leave it be....enough said?

I have not felt much like posting here lately due to the current events, but felt compelled to give my 1 cents worth (2 cents worth is more than I can muster today).

Cardfan... Thats what I heard on our national news outlets. I am not saying it has everything to do with it , but it could have. Clearly this young man had issues that none of us can understand. Some of the games our children play are very violent. Clearly a warped person is going to find a way to kill even if some types of guns are banned. Timothy Mcvee proved that. Clearly we as a nation need to look at all the cicumstances involved with unbalanced children and what causes people to do this horrific type crime

I don't have it in for military people - thankful that we have men and women that protect our way of life. If you are ex-military, you sure have a funny way of talking about our commander in chief. Let me guess - dishonorable discharge?

There are 312 million people living in the US. 4.3 million are on welfare, 47 million receive food stamps and, 5.6 million are on unemployment assistance. Rounding up, that equals 57 million people on assistance, though one could argue the people on unemployment had jobs, so they're not really the "sponges", but I digress. MATH, tells you that this means 18% of Americans are, what you would call "lazy bums".

Clearly, the difference between that 18% and the 47% the republicans referenced, INCLUDED YOU, my mouthy (yet dim) friend. I can understand how that you would make you feel bad to learn that you are held in such disregard by the party you claim affiliation to, perhaps even as bad as you would make those other people that receive public assistance feel - with the way that you describe them. (#IRONYPARTTWO)

I think that a national discussion on mental illness is past time and if we are serious about doing all that we can to curb these types of events, everything needs to be on the table.
